ODEON CINEMA, EPSOM Client: Glencarron Properties Ltd, Summit Properties Ltd & Odeon Value: n/a Completed: 1999 Odeon Cinema, Epsom marked a departure for Limbrick Limited from the previous design of 'out of town' Cinemas and Leisure developments. As a direct result of a change in Planning Policy Guidelines, the Odeon is located in the heart of Epsom Town Centre. The main frontage of the site is onto the Upper High Street. No car parking was provided. The stacking of the 8 no. auditoria of the cinema made the most effective use of this restricted site. Despite its unusual format, the cinema is operationally very successful and has some dramatic, internal foyer and retail spaces, for which we were interior designers and fit-out architects.
