Limbrick Limited has worked with Odeon Cinemas since 1996, during which period we have delivered over 175 screens and 40,000 seats at over 20 sites throughout the UK. We have been instrumental in developing their exciting, revitalised image, and in taking Odeon Cinemas from flat floor to full stadium seating style auditoria in line with the latest industry standards. Our term appointment with Odeon has evolved from the early out of town destination leisure parks, such as The Quay in Glasgow and the Kettering and Fife Leisure Parks, where the Odeon Multiplex Cinema forms the key focal point of the development, to town centre Multiplexes on complex sites in line with evolving National Planning Guidance. The latter category, whilst being more challenging, has nevertheless produced highly successful results, such as the Odeon Cinema in Epsom Upper High Street. A narrow and irregular shaped site, without parking, was transformed to the back edge of pavement, with a stacked 8-screen Multiplex Cinema complex. Our involvement encompasses: Early site and concept design development in order to determine operationally effective and critically dimensioned scheme designs. Design development and cinema building shell construction. Monitoring of cinema shells under construction by developer led teams. Interior design and coordination of fit-out proposals. The interior design concept developed for Odeon Cinemas is now seen across their estate throughout the UK. The design had to comply with Odeon's own strict criteria and also create a new, light, spacious, visually attractive atmosphere in order to enhance the customers' experience and that all important first impression. The result is a fusion of colour, lighting and strong internal architectural forms, consisting of curved prosceniums, solids and planes reflected in wall, ceiling and floor profiles.
