Exploiting their highly successful UK cinema experience, Limbrick Limited was appointed by the Kuwait National Cinema Company to provide a key role in establishing new standards for their chain in Kuwait. This involved the complete re-branding of the Kuwait National Cinema outlets into 'K' Cinemas. The Al-Mohallab complex followed, which included early design advice in the setting out and formation of the cinema shell, which is part of a popular, mall-style, retail complex. Limbrick Limited also completed the subsequent interior design and fitting out of the uniquely shaped form, making up the 3-screen, 850 seat cinema complex and foyers. The cinema design is seen as a unique step forward as part of the popular experience in Kuwait, using a combination of traditional and contemporary materials to provide a welcoming, high quality, essentially family atmosphere. |
