Barry Island Resort:-
Successive years of phased redevelopment of Barry Island Resort, successfully transforming the long established Holiday Centre (formerly Butlins) on the South Wales coast, including major storm damage assessments after the winter of 1989-90, and subsequent refurbishment of chalet accommodation.Work included major refurbishment and coordinated theming of all entertainment venues and buildings and conversion of the old 50m indoor and redundant outdoor swimming pools into a new water leisure playground, containing water jets, raining sprays, spa pools, water slides and waterfalls. The introduction of a stage with tensile structure roof to the outdoor pools created an outdoor entertainment centrepiece. |
