David Billingham joined Stephen Limbrick Associates with previous experience of working in commercial office developments, retail, housing, Listed buildings and the refurbishment sectors.
Since 1994 David has worked on a number of commercial and Local Authority leisure schemes. These have involved the development of new interior design concepts for commercial leisure operators, the successful submission of major lottery applications and the completion of large commercial leisure developments. David's 'hands on' involvement has seen many projects through from early inception/ feasibility to successful completion.
David is committed to ensuring that, through quality design and establishing a detailed understanding of the brief, completed schemes meet our clients' high expectations. He prides himself on establishing excellent working relationships with clients, fellow consultants and contractors. His experience of the refurbishment of Listed buildings and negotiations with the relevant Authorities has led to successful completion of the conversion to a Casino of the former Rialto Cinema in London's Leicester Square, and the approval for the conversation of Lower Station in Wolverhampton to a Racquets Club.
David has and continues to lead an impressive portfolio of new style Casino projects, including shell and interior fit-out design and procurement of Grosvenor Casinos at Newcastle, Walsall, Birmingham (part of the Five Ways Leisure Development), Brighton, Blackpool, Reading, Plymouth, Portsmouth and Cardiff.
Other projects where he has stamped his involvement include the construction of the multi-leisure facilities at The Quay in Glasgow, Kettering Leisure Park, Dunfermline Leisure Park, Odeon Multiplex Cinema in Epsom, and the redevelopment of the former Drake Odeon Cinema in Plymouth City Centre, as well as numerous Feasibility Studies in the fields of leisure, housing, retail and office development.
Currently David is working with the Racecourse Holdings Trust and Newmarket Racecourse on the remodelling of the ancillary facilities at the July Racecourse in Newmarket. This exciting major project was granted full detailed planning approval in October 2005, and is progressing towards a start on site after the 2006 Racing Season.
As a Director in Limbrick Limited, David sees an exciting and challenging future, where he is using his extensive experience, drive and enthusiasm to satisfy existing important clients and forge new markets. |
